Christmas Future Past is HERE!

Robert W. Weber: Christmas Future Past

It's been a long time coming, but my debut album has finally arrived. I started recording in August and finished in early October. The editing process took about a week and the album is now available on CD Baby. If all goes well, it should be available on iTunes by the end of the week and on Google Play, Amazon, Spotify and more a little later.

Christmas In the Summertime

I recently began recording traditional Christmas songs for an upcoming Christmas-themed album. I hope the songs will be interpreted to be modern takes on older songs. The songs are well-known, but they're in the public domain (and thus, they do not require me to purchase any mechanical rights to record them). I am hoping to have the recording done by the middle of October and to have the album go live shortly before Thanksgiving. The main reason I am recording Christmas music is in hopes that I can make enough money to fund what I REALLY want to do: recording innovative covers of rock songs, to be titled Molotov Cocktail Piano. However, those songs DO require that I purchase the mechanical rights before I release them for sale and it can get a little pricey.

I'm also hoping to hear from Disney Cruise Lines to become one of their specialty pianists. I spoke to the talent coordinator earlier this year and no positions were open at the time. However, she said she'd contact me as soon as anything became available. Fingers crossed.

Made the Move to Google...

...and I love it.  I would suggest it to everyone I know.  Seriously.  The possibilities are endless.

More importantly, I'm currently on board the Carnival Fascination and I love that too.  It's been a wonderful experience so far.  The crew is great (though not as wonderful as my Splendor family).  I'm typing this in Nassau, Bahamas.  It's a nice town with many things to do.  That's why I'm sitting here on my laptop talking to you.

I'll post some photos when I can.  It might be a few weeks.  In the mean time, take a look at the lobby I play in every evening:
